GHANA INTERNATIONAL NURSES WELFARE ASSOCIATION (GINWA) was first called GHANA INTERNATIONAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION (GIWA) The Association ( GINWA ) was founded in April 2006 in Mansfield - United Kingdom by a group of mental health professionals who saw a need for more accessible mental health resources in our community and also the need to network with other Ghanaian nurses working in the Diaspora for regular interaction and socialisation. GINWA is a non-profit, a charity, welfare, a developmental and social organisation that aims to unite, assist and uplift its members within and outside the United Kingdom and the Diaspora. GINWA supports disadvantaged communities and Health related institutions with appropriate and needed tools either in kind or in cash to enable them function effectively. As a welfare association, GINWA has over the years since its formation, supported individual members in grief and/ or in happiness with cash, love, care, and compassion. To date, the association have donated hospital beds to a number of hospitals in Ghana as part of its social and developmental obligation. GINWA is currently developing a scheme ,as well as mount Nurses' Leadership Programme for Nurses in Ghana.
