What does GINWA stands for ?

GINWA stands for ( Ghana International Nurses Welfare Association. It is a welfare Association for nurses and their spouses in the diaspora/UK.

When was GINWA founded ?

It was founded in the United Kingdom in April 2006 by a group of Ghanaian  nurses and their Spouses living and working in the UK.  The Motto of GINWA is '' WE CARE...WE LOVE''

What work does GINWA undertake ?

GINWA as a Social and  Voluntary  association undertakes the following activities  

  • Supports their members in times of joy and sorrow, 
  • Supports Health projects in Ghana and the UK 
  • Convenes seminars and conferences on topical social and health Issues 
  • Draws on professional and educational experiences of members to address any  issues that comes up for the goodness of the assoiation and its members
  • Strengthens communities  through Public  health  promotional activities and volunteering in Ghana
  • A vision of building future  GINWA Complex Hospital in Ghana


How is GINWA Funded ?

Our activities are funded by membership fees,dues, levies, sponsorship Walks and special appeal for Funds Events and donations from philanthropic organisations, corporate bodies and individuals   

How can I make a Donation to GINWA ?

GINWA accepts voluntary contribution in kind or in cash provided that the purpose for which the contributions/donations  are made is consistent with the aims, objectives and activities of the Association. Cheques or money orders  made payable to  GINWA  bank account or through GINWA Pay Pal Account using our website.
